EnergySmart’s Industry Insights: The UK’s Carbon Emissions

C02

We at EnergySmart were thrilled to hear that the UK Government is investing more and more resources into its Carbon Budget. On Tuesday 20th April the sixth Carbon Budget officially  incorporated the UK’s share of international aviation and shipping emissions for the very first time. This is an attempt to bring the UK more than three-quarters towards its initial target of net zero emissions by 2050.

This UK target is the world’s most ambitious climate change target, cutting emissions by 78% by 2035 in comparison to 1990 levels. Prime Minister Borris Johnson stated ‘we must treat the climate emergency as the emergency it is and show greater ambition’. These commitments made by the UK Government bring forward the current target for reducing carbon emissions by 15 years. One of the key national priorities to ensure this target is met is improving overall insulation in peoples homes. This is where we at EnergySmart come in. At EnergySmart we share the UK’s positive, ambitious and proactive approach to reducing carbon emissions.

As one of the leading UK energy specialist installers, EnergySmart happily supports the UK’s ambitious plans of hitting the carbon emission target. We proactively do this providing a high quality home insulation service as well as supplying a wide range of other energy saving services.
